35” barrel in .60 bore-percussion. This is an example of a musket or fowling piece manufactured in Europe, converted from flintlock to percussion. Manufactured mid-18th century. The lock has a touch mark “FK”, no other marks. Features a full round barrel with a small brass front sight, single trigger, brass trigger guard, brass buttplate, wood carved patch box, full stock with checkering at wrist and forend, front sling swivel, three brass retaining thimbles and pinned barrel. Barrel is full round. Metal is a brown patina. Wood is very good with 2” crack on right forend. Small repair at left flat. Some age checking at butt. Has a decorative carved rollover cheek piece. Left sideplate has been filed. Has a replaced barrel retaining screw that is new.
