.30 Remington caliber with a 25" barrel. Approximately 5,000 of these rifles were manufactured by Standard Arms in Wilmington, Delaware from 1909 to 1914. These rifles are seldom seen in any condition and this rifle remains in superb all original condition. The frame retains 98% original factory blue finish with just a couple of minor freckles and this high finish extends to the trigger guard as well. Barrel retains 98% original blue with light muzzle wear. Slide tube has about 20% blue, balance worn from slide. The forend is cast bronze with Moose and Cougar. It is in near mint condition, never cleaned. Walnut stock is near mint with a couple of minor impressions, proud to metal, retaining virtually all of the high gloss finish. Beautiful, near mint, never cleaned cast buttplate with intricate design. Strong clean bore and perfect action. Given the rarity, this is probably as close to a near mint example, for one of these rifles, you will ever see and one of the most unusual pump action centerfire rifles ever manufactured.
