.38 Long Colt with a 6" barrel. This revolver was manufactured in 1896. It is a scarce 6” standard double action revolver with roll-dye barrel address. The barrel retains approximately 80% original factory blue, albeit several areas where finish is missing. Cylinder is a pleasing mix of blue brown patina. Trigger guard and grip straps retains brilliant blue on top and sides, turning soft patina on straps. The original gutta percha grips are excellent. Fine amounts of fire blue on back of hammer. Has a beautiful bore. Action works in single action mode but not double action and needs a new trigger return spring. The screws retain generous amounts of fire blue. Frame has evidence of case colors turning dark. Overall a very fine condition antique long barrel 1877.
