With correct side buttons, plume and lanyard. It is complete and original in near mint condition. It has the large brass eagle badge on front. Near mint original leather sweatband with the 7-1/8 size tag. Inside the band is stamped "Chas. E. Sackett Inspector". In addition it is stamped "William H. Horstmann Co. Philadelphia Contract February 10th, 1902". The side buttons feature crossed swords. This rare cavalry dress helmet is in almost new condition showing literally no wear and no signs of ever being on anyone's head. No sweat stains, no cracks to the visor, and perfect felt. Has to be the finest condition example of this type extant.
