This smoking box was French made in the 1920's. It is signed Cartier Paris on the front inside lip. 14K gold top with a white jade plaque with four jeweled coral pieces on each corner (missing one). Also on the top is 14K yellow gold that has been enameled with Chinese prosperity symbols. There are two match strikers one on each side of the box. The quality of this very art deco piece is fantastic. Great condition with only minor wear. This Cartier smoking box was featured on the Antiques Road Show on July 14, 2001 in New York City. The original air date on this item was on January of 2002. A CD copy of this airing is included. 5 -1/2"L x 3"W x 2-1/2"H.
