.22 rimfire with 23-7/8" barrel and 26" barrel. The first gun is a Stevens Tip-Up Model Single Shot Rifle. These rifles date to the latter part of the 19th century. It is a tip-up single shot with a blued full octagon barrel, nickel plated frame, walnut stock and rifle butt. The barrel finish is a brown patina. Visible rifling but worn. Barrel has been shortened. Missing forearm. A custom palm rest has been added. Frame and buttplate re-nickeled. Buttstock is very good with no cracks, but has been redone at one time and is shy to metal. The second gun is a Stevens Model 44-1/2 Single Shot Rifle. Another popular Stevens single shot with the much better design than the Tip-Up. The Stevens falling block action was used for numerous models based on this design. The barrel is part octagon/round. Features original sporting front and rear sights and walnut stocks. All metal surfaces are a soft grey patina. Stocks are excellent with no cracks but have been refinished and are slightly shy to metal. Forend has a repaired 2” crack on right side. Action is perfect. Dirty bore.
