.54 bore with a 3-1/2" barrels. These were popular in the mid-19th century. It offered the powerful one-two large bore punch in a small package. It consists of a side by side barrel system, smooth bore, large caliber, double exposed hammer, percussion with folding triggers that would fall from the frame when hammer is cocked. Left side is working, right sight needs some attention. Has fluted one piece walnut grips with decorative buttcap. No visible inspector marks. French style. Metal is basically chocolate brown patina with some light engraving. Excellent grips with one little chip on left side.
