Both tools are for making sound. The first is a Seiss Rooter Duck Call. It is spitoon shaped and has a small crank to make sound. It is stamped "Made in the U.S.A." and Patent Date 3/28/1905. The other is a 3-1/2" pitch pipe that is stamped, "Made in Germany". It is a small, conic section with a reed style cut out inside. When blown into, it makes one steady note.
