.308 Winchester caliber with a 22" barrel. Manufactured in 1962. This rifle is standard in all respects with 22" barrel, .308, hooded ramp front sight, folding leaf rear sight, checkered walnut stock, lever action, magazine fed, pistol grip, grip cap, plastic shotgun buttplate and sling swivels with vintage sling. This rifle remains in excellent all original condition retaining virtually all of the original finish on metal. Mint bore and action. The original Winchester magazine does exhibit some high edge wear. Walnut stock is excellent with sharp checkering, but does have a few of the usual bumps and bruises associated with use in the field, but nothing major. It sports an old school vintage Weaver K4 scope with Weaver mounts and perfect optics. These rifles have really taken off with collectors in the past few years and have become highly desirable and are very popular with hunters and shooters due to the superior calibers in a repeating lever action format. In addition, the earlier models with the sharp checkering rather than the later press checkering bring a premium.
