This Ithaca is a grade 4E with 26 - 1/8" Damascus barrels and 3" chambers. The bores are bright and shiny with a slight dent in the right tube 4" from the muzzle. The right barrel has a wall thickness of .026" and a bore diameter of .748". The right barrel has a choke constriction of .003" making it close to a cylinder bore. The left barrel has a bore diameter of .745" and a choke constriction of .040" making it light for a choke. The minimum wall thickness of a tube is .036". The auto ejectors on this classic double are not functioning properly and in need of repair. The receiver is engraved and the standard 4E pattern with a pointing dog on both right and left side of the receiver. The borders show full floral engraving pattern, while the belly of the receiver has a game bird scene. The trigger guard has an engraved flying duck.. The forend wood shows worn checkering and a small chip on the left side where the wood meets the receiver. The butt stock has a length of pull of 14 - 1/4" to it's original Ithaca buttplate. The buttplate does show a small chip at the toe. The pistol grip shows a fleur-de-lis checkering pattern in nice condition. The butt stock has a 2 -1/2" drop at heel and it solid with no cracks or chips. Only minor dings are present.
