.44 rimfire with a 24" barrel. Manufactured 1865. Offered is a fine, clean, untouched all original Henry rifle in standard configuration with full octagon barrel, full magazine, brass frame and buttplate, walnut stocks, case colored hammer and lever, folding ladder rear sight, with sling swivel on left side of stock and barrel. This rifle has matching numbers on barrel, tang, stock and buttplate. The buttplate screws are not numbered. Brass frame is a pleasing mustard hue. Barrel and tube are a dark soft brown patina. Barrel legends are sharp as new. No visible color on hammer or lever, basically brown patina. The buttplate has the same mustard appearance as frame. Stock is excellent with no cracks, some usual minor abrasions, a bit shy to metal with fine finish. Perfect working order. Has a strong bore that still has shine with light black powder abrasion. Far above average.
