.32 extra short rimfire with a 1-3/4" barrel. Wildly popular in the 1890's with gamblers and sporting types, the Chicago palm pistol was unique in its design. This example is in stellar condition retaining virtually all of its factory nickel finish. The gutta percha panels and thumb panel are in near mint condition with no cracks or chips. It is in perfect mechanical order. What makes this pistol even more desirable, is that is rests in its original two piece box that features an image of this gun on the cover and is printed "Protector Revolver Ames Sword Co. Chicopee, Mass. U.S.A.". Box is in very good condition with three intact corners, high edge wear, a 2-1/2" missing bottom apron. Inside the cover are the directions for using the Protector pistol.
