Has a 42" barrel, and a .70 bore. Marine Musket Model 1763 U.S. Surcharge. Typical French mid 18th century musket. Three barrel bands, walnut stock, iron hardware. Lock is stamped, but hard to decipher. All metal is dark brown patina with freckling. Looks like a period restock. It is stamped US on butt plate so it was probably restocked and used by US at some point after the Revolutionary War.
