8" barrel, .60 Bore Flintlock Offered is a lovely Flintlock Pistol that is scaled to a size best suited for a lady or younger person yet packs a large .60 caliber ball. There are no proof marks anywhere on the gun. It features a stepped barrel with engraving at breech, a decorative brass butt, and trigger guard with 2 brass thimbles. The rod has a bone tip and the stock at tang is beautifully carved. Brass left side plate features decorative casting and is missing the screw. The barrel and lock are a grey/brown freckled patina, brass is a rich deep patina, walnut stock is excellent with no cracks and is beautifully fitted. The design hints to French origin. This would have been a lovely little pistol for a lady of means to ward off highway men.
