Circa 1894. Manufactured by Kyser & Rex Company. This is the cheapest mechanical iron bank on the market. The money is put in the slot and remains in sight until the monkey's face is pressed, when it falls, the shutters fly open and the lion and tiger put their faces through the windows. The shutters can be snapped shut and the bank is again read for business. Merely as a mechanical toy, the sudden appearance of the animals is an attraction to children.
CAST IRON ZOO MECHANICAL BANK.
