The first gun is a .38 safety hammerless, double action revolver in .38 Smith & Wesson caliber with a 3-1/4" barrel. This is considered a standard Fourth Model manufactured from 1898 to 1907. It is a five shot, double action, top break, hammerless, with factory nickel finish, blued trigger guard, case colored trigger and black gutta percha grips. This revolver remains in excellent condition overall, retaining approximately 95 % original factory nickel with a few minor rubs on high edges. Trigger exhibits strong case colors. Grips are excellent with no cracks or chips. Perfect bore. Action is tight as new. Trigger guard and latch retain 95% original blue. Previous owner has lightly scratched two initials on left frame. The second gun is a .32 hand ejector double action revolver with a 4-1/4" barrel in caliber .32 Smith & Wesson. This is referred to as the Second Model, or the Model 1903, manufactured 1903- 1904 only. Standard features include factory nickel finish with case colored trigger and hammer. It is a five shot, double action. This revolver remains in excellent all original condition. Retains approximately 98% original factory finish with light drag line and a bit of muzzle wear only. Near mint bore. Hammer and trigger retain brilliant case colors. The grips are a later diamond checkered walnut and should have a pair of Smith & Wesson gutta percha grips. Action is not working. With some minor mechanical attention and a proper set of grips, this would be a fine example of a very scarce early Smith & Wesson.
