Caliber .30 WCF, with a 20" barrel. Manufactured in 1919. Arguable one of the harder to find model 1894 Winchesters are the carbines that exhibit any special order features. This example sports the rare Winchester capped pistol grip butt stock with the rifle buttplate, sling eyes. Standard features include; 20" barrel, full magazine, walnut stocks, blued finish with saddle ring and original stud. The sights include special order 3 leaf folding express rear, an original marble's tang sight and carbine post front. The barrel and tube as well as the bands retain approximately 90% or better factory blue finish with strong barrel legend. The frame is now a clean dull gun metal grey. The wood is excellent, proud to the metal with original finish. The forearm has no cracks or chips with a few small abrasions. The pistol grip butt stock is not checkered but exhibits a 1" closed hairline crack at frame and wrist and is a bit shy at tang and was probably freshened up a bit years ago. Screw heads are all original and fine with no majoring marring, action is perfect, strong clean bore. Fine special order 1894 carbine. Factory research.
