Caliber .38-40 with a 24" barrel. Manufactured in 1891. Standard rifle in all respects. Rifle is in near relic condition. The frame is stamped with the PW which indicates return to the factory after 1900. Standard features include; 24" full octagon barrel, full magazine, walnut stock, walnut butt and blue finish. Has a standard sporting front sight, rear sight is broken in half and missing rear portion. The caliber missing from barrel. The brass carrier has been cleaned with no caliber marking. Several replaced screws, rear stock replaced, front stock shy to metal with gap at frame, barrel and tube dark brown patina. Frame is grey with erosion and trails from a chemical with heavy pitting, loading gate replaced. Working condition, decent visible rifling.
