Caliber 9mm/.38 with a 5" barrel. Gabilondo began manufactured copies of the Colt 1911 in 1931. This is a fairly early model and has the same general appearance as the Colt Model 1911-A1 with the arched main spring housing, but no grip safety. It was chambered to fire the 9mm largo and .38 a.c.p. Standard features; blued finish, diamond checkered walnut grips and a lanyard ring on the right side. Retaining approximately 90% of the factory blue with near mint grips, fine bore and action. These early Llamas generally saw very hard use overseas and very few have survived with such high condition. An interesting pistol that is eagerly sought by Colt collectors as a foreign variation of the 1911.
