Caliber .30-06 with a 24" barrel. This Springfield is a typical World War II era rebuild. The frame was produced in 1911. The barrel is stamped S.A.8-44. It sports a WWII era stock and hand guard. Left side of stock has a faint cartouche rebuild stamp (O.G.) and under the wrist is a proof P. The floor plate and trigger guard are steel and has a large dent, rear sight is WWII era. The barrel and front band retain 80% parkerized finish as does the rear sight. The frame is a soft blue brown patina. The stock is near mint with no cracks or chips. Has a strong bore and a perfect action with a Boyt sling. Nice condition, fairly typical WWII overall Springfield Model 1903.
