The first gun is an altered US Springfield Model 1896 Krag Rifle. Caliber is 30-40 GOVT. Serial number is 91242. Barrel length is 22 inches. This rifle has been altered by shortening the barrel and removing the hand guard, as well as the rear military sight. A Redfield receiver sight has been added as well as a band front sight similar to 03 Springfield. All metal surfaces are a blue brown patina having been refinished at one time. Stock is very good with no cracks. There is a chip at right forearm that has been refinished and inspector marks removed. Butt plate is dented and ill fitting at toe. Action is fine. Bore is excellent. The second gun is a Remington Rolling Block Saddle Ring Carbine. Caliber 7mm. Barrel is 20 1/2 inches. Rifle is in near relic condition. Stock broken at wrist. Metal brown blue patina. Missing front sight. Not working. Fine parts or project guns.
