Barrel is 10", .54 bore. This flintlock pistol has the U.S. eagle and is stamped Midlin Conn. and is dated 1822 with the side lock safety. The barrel is stamped U.S. P and has the J D J inspector mark. Features the swivel rod, single band, iron furniture, walnut stock, all metal furniture is a smooth gun metal mixed with a brown patina. The pan and screw is a replacement, there is wear to frame so you cannot see the North name, the wood is very good with no cracks. The cartouche oval is visible on left side, but initials not readable. The friscent is a replacement. Very good example of an early rare pistol.
