.54 bore, 10" barrel. These were manufactured by Joseph Henry in Philadelphia from 1807-1808. Features a full pin fastened walnut stock with brass mountings, wood ram rod, lock is marked J. Henry, early proof P on barrel, metal is a dark brown patina with some spotting, brass is fine, wood is excellent with no cracks just a couple of chips except for a larger chip at rear of lock. This is an original flintlock that has not been converted. Extremely difficult to find contract pistol, very few known. There is excellent reference to this pistol in the Flayderman Guide.
