Bronx, New York artist. Dated "January 1951" on back with studio label. Includes original gold leaf frame. Excellent likeness of Joe in batting stance toward the end of his career. Signed in lower right corner. Very impressionistic look. Very unusual and one-of-a-kind period piece of one of the most beloved Yankee's of all time. Provenance: Bought from Toots Schoor's Restaurant in New York. Schoor and DiMaggio were good friends and he would eat there often at his own, private table in back so he would not be "bothered" by other patrons.Baseball
