.31 bore percussion with a 3-1/4" barrel. Approximately 3,000 of these unusual spur trigger, ten shot, single action pocket revolvers were manufactured by the New Haven Arms Co., which was to become Winchester a few short years later. The unusual feature is that the five cylinder openings were to be double charged and there are ten original nipples with two hammers that would fire these double charges. Manufacture stamp is on top of the octagon barrel. Sports two piece walnut grips that are in very good condition but there is a repaired crack on right panel. Metal is basically a soft gun metal grey patina. Cylinder indexes perfectly. Both hammers fire. This unusual revolver would be of interest to any collector of Winchester firearms.
