20" barrel in .30 WCF caliber. Manufactured in 1908. As all Winchester collectors know, finding a Winchester Model 1894 Saddle Ring Carbine with any special order features is extremely difficult. This carbine is standard in all respects with the exception of the pistol grip stock that features the hard rubber shotgun buttplate and grip cap, both with the Winchester logo. Standard features include: 20" full round barrel, full magazine, two barrel bands, saddle ring and stud, blued finish and walnut stocks. The barrel and tube retain approximately 70% of the original blue finish with some light age freckling. Rear sight has been removed. Front sight has a replaced blade. In lieu of the rear sight, a Lyman receiver sight has been installed. Frame retains approximately 70% original blue finish. There are traces of case colors on hammer and lever. Original walnut stocks are excellent, proud to metal, with no cracks or chips and retains a majority of the original finish. Action is perfect. Bore exhibits strong rifling, albeit minor roughness. A very handsome early special order S.R.C.
