10" barrel in .22 LR caliber. Referred to by collectors as the Model 1891 Third Model single shot top break double action pistol with blued finish and black hard rubber extension grips. These were manufactured from 1909 to 1923. Approximately 6949 were manufactured in .22 caliber. This example remains in very good all original condition. Frame has faded to a smooth brown patina, as has the barrel with the exception of some fine original blue in flutes and at base. Has original Paine target blade pin front sight. Grips are very good with some smoothness and "C.E.S." carved at butt. Action is perfect. Strong bore. Interesting early target pistol.
