Offered is an incredible autograph book that was obtained from the relatives of a manager of a New York City hotel in the 1930s. Within this book, on two pages, are two of the most fantastic New York Yankee team autographs to have ever surfaced. Page 1, on white paper and dark ink titled "N.Y. Yankees" autograph as follows: Tony Lazzeri - HOFChas Ruffing - HOFBen ChapmanCharlie DevensLou Gehrig - HOFDixie Walker (Fred)Russ Van AttaBill Dickie - HOFSam ByrdEddie FarrellDan MacFaydenPage 2, on blue paper:Joe Sewell - HOFHerb Pennock - HOFGeorge RensaWilcy MooreLyn LaryLefty Gomez - HOFFrank CrosettiJohn AllenBabe Ruth - HOFEarle CombsPartial third page, on pink paper:Cy PerkinsGeorge UhleJames BurkeAll the autographs are strong. the Babe Ruth autograph measures almost 3/4" by itself. Virtually every autograph is separate from another, especially important is the Ruth and Gehrig. Other notable autographs in this book: Maude Hilton of Hilton Hotels, Jack Powell (October 19th, 1933), Billy Glason, Milton Berle (1933), Walter Winchell, Betty Boop, Hedda Hopper. Many of the pages are addressed to "Irwin", but not the baseball pages. Most are dated 1933 or 1934. Besides the autograph page, there are 57 autographs, many of which would be recognizable in the New York City arena of 1933-34. All signatures, with exception the baseball are on single pages. The entire collection is housed in its bound green leather art deco zippered case and is accompanied by a detailed letter from J.S.A. autographs attesting to the authenticity of the baseball autographs only. Arguably one of the finest autograph albums, signed by the 1933 New York Yankees to ever surface. This album has never seen the open marked since the time is was collected.
