This lot includes small dogs which are chained, looking through the door openings of the dog houses on each side of the napkin holder. Marked Meriden B. Company; #270. Plate 17. There is an angry-looking dog that wears a collar with a tag. He runs alongside a barrel-shaped napkin holder. Some silver loss. Plate 58 - right. There also is a perky little dog that pulls napkin holder on wheels. Unmarked. Some tarnish/silver loss. Of more recent vintage. Hunting-type dog stands next to oval. Cut-out napkin holder. Silver is good. Of more recent vintage. There is a Kate Greenaway-type girl holding the ribbon ties to her bonnet sits by a child-sized napkin holder. Marked Barbour Silver Co. #12. Some tarnish/silver loss. Plate 554. There is a Kate Greenaway-type young lady in tea-length dress and bonnet pushes a bead-edged napkin holder on base. Marked Webster Mfg. #70. Of more recent vintage. Finally, there is a small owl that sits among leaves that form base for napkin holder on short pedestal. Napkin holder is engraved "Owl'd Acquaintance ." Silver loss.
