Included in this lot is a rooster on shovel napkin ring marked Meriden Britannia Co., #181. Silver is only fair, otherwise good condition. Plate 258. There is a napkin holder on lily pad. This piece is marked, but the marking is too faint to read. It was made by Meriden B., #168. Tarnished, but condition is good. Plate 495. There is also a horseshoe in front of napkin holder. No manufacturer's marks. Tarnished, but condition is good. Plate 616. Also, there is a herald holding a clarion that is mounted on each side of a child-sized napkin holder; on small rectangular base. Marked Middletown Plate Co. #340. Silver is good. Plate 672. In addition, there is a napkin holder that rests on a leaf with a pansy flower in front. Marked Meriden B. Company, #162. One side of the leaf is bent under, so it doesn't sit straight. Silver loss; otherwise condition is good. Page 105 - illustration; and page107- third down. Finally, here is a Red Riding Hood girl with hands on napkin holder on round, ball-footed decorative base. Marked Wilcox Silver Plate Co. Silver loss. Of more recent vintage.
