This lot includes a Kate Greenaway type girl that rides on a wheeled napkin ring pulled by a dog. Marked Simpson, Hall, Miller & Co. No number. Condition is good. Very similar to plate 544, but this example is of more recent vintage. Next is a boy that pulls napkin holder on sled by ropes (some of which have broken off). The highly embossed napkin holder has an appliqued banner on which is engraved the name "Eddie." Marked Wilcox Silver Plate Co., #01576. Silver loss, otherwise good condition. Plate 653. There is also a squirrel eating a nut that sits on leaf base by napkin holder with fluted edges. Marked Rockford #139. The tip of the leaf base is bent up and there is silver loss. Otherwise, good condition. Next is matching cherubs that are seated on either side of a base with scalloped edge and ball feet. The ends of the napkin holder are flared and formed in scallops at the edges. Marked Wilcox Silver Plate Co., #01536. Silver and condition are good. Plate 428. In addition, there is a sailor boy that stands on a raised rectangular base with chamfered corners by napkin holder atop which sits a butterfly. Marked Simpson, Hall, Miller & Co., #53. Of more recent vintage. Finally, there is a small cherub that rides on a swan in front of a pedestaled napkin holder on a flat base. Silver loss, otherwise condition is good. Plate 461- bottom right.
