Barrel length 24" Caliber .30-06. This rifle is a World War II rebuild, utilizing a post 1919 Rock Island receiver. Barrel is stamped SA 12-42 with the flaming bomb. Strong rifled bore with an ME reading of 1.75. Features a field replacement Type C stock with pistol grip. No visible cartouche. Has a Type 5 hand guard. Has milled trigger guard and floor plate, swept bolt, Type 5 checkered buttplate. Rear sight has a Type 4 large adjustment knob with a Type 3 small knob. Metal is basically a blue gray patina. Stock is excellent to near mint. United States Marine Corp emblem has been embedded on left side. Has original era sling with brass frogs with one replaced leather loop.
