5" barrel chambered in .22 LR caliber. This fine pistol was manufactured in 1931, the very first year of production of this gun. Only 11,000 pre-war Ace's were ever produced. This is an extremely fine condition all original pistol with blued finish and fully checkered walnut grips. Has the standard thick base round front sight with target rear. Right side of frame is stamped "Colt Ace .22 Long Rifle". Features the checkered trigger, short wide spur hammer, arched mainspring, magazine release, slide stop, safety, and push rod. Overall, the gun retains 90% or better of the original factory blue as follows: muzzle of slide has light high edge wear; there is an 1/8" blemish to finish on top of slide to rear of ejector port, light drag line on frame with high edge wear at face, and some thinning on front grip strap, grip safety has 99% original blue, as well as the arched mainspring. Grips are excellent with a couple of small dents. Comes with an original Ace marked two-tone magazine in excellent condition. Fine bore and action. Extremely nice pre-war Ace.
