4" barrel chambered for the .38 Special cartridge. Listed in the Supica book of Smith & Wesson is the Model 64-5 marked "Detroit Police" 4" heavy barrel. The 64-5 was introduced in 1988. It is constructed of stainless steel on the 'K' service frame. Features six shot, double action, and silver medallion checkered grips. This revolver is in as new unfired condition. Backstrap is stamped "Detroit Police 24289". Cylinder face shows no signs of burn, but has light drag line. Comes in the original numbered box with cleaning rod, but no paperwork.
