2-1/8" barrel chambered for .45 long Colt caliber. Manufactured 1938. This revolver was manufactured as a standard New Service six shot double action revolver with blued finish and silver medallion checkered round butt walnut stocks. It has gone through a "Fitz" style custom conversion as follows: barrel has been shortened to 2-1/8" and the front sight has been reset. The hammer spur has been ground off and polished. Trigger guard has been removed forward of the trigger. Gun retains virtually all of the blue finish, most of which is factory mixed with touch-up needed for modifications. Lanyard rings has been removed. Grips are excellent. Action is perfect. Strong clean bore. This is a lovely behemoth snub nose that was masterfully crafted.
