5" barrel in .38 Super caliber. Offered is a fine early post-war Colt Model 1911 Super manufactured in 1948. This early post-war features a checkered hammer and safety with serrated trigger, slide stop and mainspring housing. Gun remains in near mint, all original condition, retaining approximately 98% original factory blue finish, with a light drag line and a couple of minor scratches to finish on left side of frame. Near mint plastic period correct grips. Fine bore and action. Comes in a Colt brown hinged box (no end label or number) and includes two Colt marked magazines.
