Caliber .22. Barrel length 18". Daisy introduced the model VL in 1968 it is considered a combination airgun/firearm as it features the Daisy VL caseless ammunition that was ignited with a propellant molded into the case of the 29 grain bullet. Just as Daisy was to launch this mode, Robert Kennedy was assassinated and this gun was subsequently ruled a firearm. Daisy was not licensed to manufacture firearms and discontinued manufacture after producing only 1900 in the 1960s. This is a presentation model. Daisy produced approximately 400 of these for presentation to dealers and firearms luminaries. This rifle is number 120 and was made specifically for famed firearms author Bill Jordan. Most famous for his book "No Second Place Winner". It features blued metal with a plain pistol grip deluxe walnut stock with black composite butt plate. The right side of the stock has a brass presentation plaque that reads "Rifle no 120. made for the collection of Bill Jordan Daisy/Heddon." Rifle remains in near new condition inside and out. Accompanying this rifle is approx. 400 rounds of the original ammunition.
