(A) Is a Collins & Company, Hartford Legitimus No. 17 Bowie knife with a 9-3/4" blade, wood handle, brass pommel and guard. Blade has a fine point with a couple of minor edge chips. Was lightly sharpened long ago. 14-3/4" overall. Brass is mustard color, handle is excellent, leather sheath with silver tip. Leather is embossed Collins & Company Legitimus. (B) James Dicksons & Son Sheffield, England. The 7" blade is dealer stamped, Walter Locke & company. A mint blade, ebony handle with checkered scales and original leather sheath, 11-1/4" overall. (C) Joseph Allen & Sons, Sheffield, England, 6" non XLL drop point blade with brass guard and stag scales, very good condition with original leather sheath. Fine lot of early Bowie knives.
