5-1/2" barrel in .36 percussion caliber. Manufactured 1863. Standard very popular five shot, single action revolver features the fluted cylinder. Barrel has New York address and single brass bead front sight. All matching numbers except wedge has No. 36957. Strong rifled bore with some minor black powder erosion. Cylinder has patent stamp but no serial number. All metal is a grey patina. Cylinder has numerous dents. Original nipples. Excellent original one piece walnut grips retain a majority of the original varnish. Has sharp barrel legends and Colt patent on frame. Mellow brass backstrap and trigger guard. Indexes but out of time.
