Large German papier-mâché shoulder head with molded short curly black hair (lots of cracking on shoulder plate and large open crack on side of the head, wear on nose and mouth), black glass pupilless eyes, original antique cloth body (wear and soil) with leather arms (right arm broken and loose, left arm with holes on hand, fingers broken); antique cotton dress, underwear and embroidered shoes and nice leather handbag. Sonneberg Taufling baby (several cracks on head) with inset dark glass eyes, bald head, cloth body with floating limbs, papier-mâché or wood arms, hands, lower legs, feet, lower torso and shoulder plate; clothing appears original (wear and soil on clothes, doll needs to be cleaned). Sitting in a 1920s spindle rocking chair appropriate to size of doll. Lovely vignette!
