2-1/4" barrel in .41 rimfire caliber. This swing-out Deringer was manufactured in Brooklyn from 1860 to 1865 with approximately 6,000 manufactured. Features a brass frame, is nickel plated and engraved with a steel barrel. It is a single shot spur trigger. This example has the scarce large arrows on both sides of the barrel. Has a perfect barrel address. Barrel finish is basically gun metal grey while the frame retains approximately 75-80% original nickel. Strong bore and fine action. The patent for this gun was purchased by Colt and continued in later years under their brand.
