Both of these Colt pistols were manufactured from 1878 to 1912. Serial No. 10264 is a 1st Type referred to as the "Thuer" and serial No. 9289 is a standard model with sloping hammer. Both pistols are chambered for the .41 rimfire cartridge and have the 2-1/2" round blued barrels (now patina), are stamped "Colt" on top, feature brass frames with traces of original plating, and have walnut bird's head grips. The barrels pivot to allow loading and are a single shot spur trigger. Grips are very good to excellent with no cracks or chips. Actions are fine. Strong rifling, but one does have some black powder abrasion.
