The first gun is a 12 bore, side by side, mail order shotgun stamped "Rival", SN 28356. It has 30" barrels, right barrel is "improved", left barrel is "full". Matted rib, single bead. Smooth blue brown patina with no dents. 14-1/4" LOP to front trigger. Shotgun is not stamped Nitro Proof so it was intended for black powder only. Traces of case colors on frame. Very good checkered walnut stocks with usual abrasions. Mint bores. Lock up does have some wiggle. The revolver is a Allen & Thurber Pepperbox, six shot, percussion revolver with top hammer. Working condition, but all metal has been chemically cleaned with very good grips.
