Barrel length 24", .30-06 caliber. Manufactured from Sep 1941 - Dec 1941. Bolt is stamped "D28287-2SA" (proper). Heat batch "RE1" (proper). Barrel is dated August 1941 and is correctly placed upside down. In addition, this rifle was part of the British lend-lease program and has the proper British crown "BNP" stamp. It has the tons proof with crossed broad arrows and is stamped "30-06". It has a Type 1 flush nut rear sight (proper). Stock is stamped "SAGHS" in a square on left side with the large ordinance escutcheon (also correct for serial range). "GHS" is Gilbert H. Stewart, mid 1940 - Nov 1941 (proper). Metal retains approx 95% of the dark matte phosphate finish. Stock is excellent and does have the serif "P" circle at wrist. It has an ME reading of 1. Stock is excellent with a few minor war dings. Trigger guard is stamped "C-46025-1-SA" (correct for this serial range). This is an extremely scarce, fine condition, 1941 manufactured M-1 Garand with matching receiver, bolt, barrel, sights, stock and trigger guard that was shipped to Britain. As such, it is extremely difficult to find. Also comes with original bayonet.
