10" barrel in .54 bore. The lock in this pistol is stamped "Harper's Ferry 1807" and has the U.S. eagle. Left side of the barrel is stamped "738" with "U.S." and eagle head cartouche. It has been converted from its original flintlock configuration to percussion. This early example does not have any sights. Has the original half stock with metal pommel, two retaining thimbles, and a metal band. The walnut stock has a 1-1/2" crack forward of sideplate and a small chip at rear of sideplate. All metal is brown patina. Working order. Original as government altered early martial pistol.
