This Japanese long sword has the hallmarks of being a finely crafted handmade sword that was a family heirloom. The 27" curved blade is sharp, it has a beautiful, wavy temper line, but there is some minor pitting in the steel. The tip has a very minor bend to the left. It has ornate workmanship with a floral motif throughout the hilt, handle and pommel with a swiveling ring. The metal scabbard is likewise decorated at the tip, ring on the back, and at the top. There are some very minor dents and some scratches in the brown paint.
