Serial No. 4777. Barrel length 28.7". Caliber 7.62 x 54R. This sniper rifle features the 3.5 power PU scope which is dated 1942 with serial number 87924. This is an original WWII scope with original mounts with crystal clear optics. The receiver bridge is dated 1942. Import serial number has been etched on left side of frame. Bolt matches the original serial number on receiver, buttplate and magazine. Importer is stamped on bottom of barrel. Has the turn down bolt. This was one of the original sniper rifles that was imported years ago, the primary sniping weapon of the Russian army during the siege of Stalingrad and was made famous by the movie Enemy At The Gates which relayed the true story of a famous Russian sniper, Vasily Zaytsev. In excellent condition with beautiful blue finish intact and excellent stock with most of the original finish. Mint bore. has the original rebuild finish.
