773 Caliber .22, Barrel length is 24”. Barrel is dated 42, stamped SA with bomb. Both the bolt and handle are stamped “M2”. Has the Lyman 48 receiver sight, sporter stock with the pistol grip, wide fingered groove for-end, coarse checkered steel butt plate, and the later flat blue- black military finish. Stocks are excellent without stamps, no cracks or chips, deep rich patina. Fine bore and action. Barrel and receiver are not tapped. Comes with an original WWI leather sling with brass frogs. Fine all original un-messed with M2-22 rifle. Springfield research letter verifies firearm as a M2-22 Rifle, serial number 773. Sold to H. Jones, Easthampton, Massachusetts on August 31, 1934.
