Caliber .30-40, Barrel length 30”. Standard U.S. issue rifle with the updated 1901 rear site. Cartouche on left side stamped “J.S.A” and dated 1901. Script proof “P” on wrist. Letter “C” stamped left of cartouche. All other parts are original to the rifle. Metal retains 70% blue on the barrel, 50% on the receiver and the balance is turning a smooth patina. Stocks are very good with usual war bumps. There is some dark staining in the wood around the trigger guard and rear swing swivel from heat/oil. Strong rifle bore and fine action.
