Caliber .30-06 government, Barrel length 24”. This beautiful, factory engraved, custom Mauser, bolt action sporting rifle was built for the consignor while stationed in Germany in the 1950’s. It was manufactured specifically for him by the Mahrholdt custom rifle company. Features include: octagon to round barrel with full matted rib, single leaf fixed rear sight, ramp front sight, integral claw mounts and sports a Pecar (Berlin) 3x7 variable scope. The barrel is beautiful factory rust blued, the frame sports a satin finish and features custom engraving of the highest quality. The bolt is jeweled. Has an engraved fire blued straight butter knife handle. Rifle features double set triggers. The floor plate is exquisitely engraved with antlered game in satin nickel finish. Trigger guard is engraved and finished in high polished blue. Checkered walnut stock features unusual rollover check piece with black for-end tip, black composite butt plate and comes equipped with sling swivels. Has a black pistol grip cap. Gun remains in excellent, near mint condition inside and out.
